What is Validation? Validation, created by Naomi Feil, is a compassionate method of communicating with and understanding disoriented seniors. It reduces stress, restores dignity, and fosters joy. Built on empathy and a holistic approach, Validation transforms caregiving into a rewarding, meaningful experience.
Making a Measurable Difference:
Increase staff satisfaction, which reduces turnover.
Residents experience greater quality of life.
Attracts more residents and keeps them longer.
It helps caregivers “step into the shoes” of seniors and understand their behavior.
It provides a pathway for older adults to resolve unfinished issues and find peace.
Enables verbal and non-verbal expression, reducing feelings of frustration and isolation.
Strengthens caregiver-senior interactions, leading to less stress and more fulfilling connections.
