Since 2016, Second Wind Dreams has used Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) grants to provide the Virtual Dementia Tour® program and training at no cost to skilled nursing centers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin. 

To expand this powerful dementia training program to other states, Second Wind Dreams must collect commitment letters from interested skilled nursing centers before applying for CMP grant funding – a process that depends on nursing centers pledging to participate in advance.

Under our CMP grants, eligible Skilled Nursing Centers receive free of charge:

• A complete copy of the VDT program including manual and equipment

• Virtual Dementia Tour for your staff conducted by a Second Wind Dreams Certified Trainer

• Person-centered assessment of staff performance in daily care activities

• VDT facilitator training for two designated staff for ongoing use after the grant

• CEU credit for multiple domains
